Everyone wants customer loyalty. The right place to start? Create an experience that is its own reward.

More and more companies are creating mobile applications. While reasons vary, the desired result is the same: increase customer loyalty and Return On Application (ROAp).

To do this, firms need to focus on creating deeper connections with customers. Yet connection is perhaps the most difficult marketing feat to accomplish. The mobile phone gives companies the missing piece of infrastructure to do just that.

To date, most have been unable to take advantage of this opportunity. User metrics have been either unavailable or limited to basic information such as unique user counts. Mobixy takes mobile marketing to a completely new level. Our reporting set includes:

Subscriber statistics

Full usage history

Data sent and received

Geo-location

And much more

Companies can then use this information to better understand their users and create better experiences. In return, they are likely to end up with a more satisfied customer. Continue this cycle until satisfaction leads to loyalty, which will lead to the best advertising possible – word of mouth. Which, of course, is free.

Is there a better way to grow?

Cloud computing will impact more than just personal computers – we believe it will transform mobile platforms as well.

Mobile applications have seen rapid growth since the 2007 launch of the iPhone. At the same time, design and management challenges have increased even faster – which puts this unprecedented growth at risk.

The two primary reasons for this: technical deficiencies and device fragmentation. Mobile phones have limited processing power, storage capacity, and battery life. Each device has different features and capabilities, from network connection options to operating systems. So getting to market quickly is difficult and time consuming. And these problems continue into the post-production management phase as well.

During the planning process, a developer must choose one of two alternatives:

Create a flexible design. In other words, make sure that the application will work on as many devices as possible.

Limit the design to a target device. This approach will shorten development time, because the focus is on a singular device (or several devices that are technically similar).

Both of these options limit the growth of an application. But there is another obstacle: understanding the user.

No product will have predictable, sustainable growth unless one fully understands customer needs and preferences. And since most applications reside on the actual mobile device, the usage statistics available are very basic – if they exist at all.

There is another way – move your application management and development into the Mobixy cloud. This solves a number of development and management problems, including:

Hosting

Device processing and battery power

Poor cellular coverage and dropped connections

Incompatible data and media formats

Application scalability

The future of mobile is here today. Contact us to learn more.

A major challenge for application developers is the number of mobile devices – each with different capabilities, features and restrictions.

In fact, there are more than 300 different kinds of phones available today. So developers must deal with countless technical issues, such as unit processing power, different operating systems, memory availability, display differences and individual carrier limitations. And since mobile technology regularly changes, they must address problems related to application updates.

All of this makes the product management process timely and complicated. So while we believe that there is a great deal of opportunity in this market, we see some risks. For example, will developers be able to continue to create and manage applications with so many devices and platforms in the market? What if consumers begin to resist application price increases? How will developers (and companies) reach worldwide markets?

Of course, this is not a complete list. If you’d like to discuss your specific challenges with us, we’d love to hear from you.

From our perspective, we feel as though we represent the beginning of a new standard for the development and management of mobile applications. But the story is just beginning, and we invite you to follow the journey by subscribing to our blog (click here for the RSS feed).
